The HP SlateBook X2 and the Split X2 convertibles have gone official in India along with price details and multiple other devices. That being said, HP has also announced price tags for the Envy Rove 20 AIO, the Pavilion 11 TouchSmart notebook, the Envy TouchSmart 14 Ultrabook and Slate 21 AIO amongst others.
The HP SlateBook x2 is one of the first Tegra 4 powered tablets and it runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. The device falls in the convertible category as it can conveniently be transformed into a notebook for enhanced productivity through the keyboard dock. To make the transformation task intuitive, the company has designed the accessory with a magnetic hinge which securely locks the slate in place.
On the hardware front, the SlateBook x2 is equipped with a 1.8GHz quad core Tegra 4 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 64GB SSD, dual HD cameras, a 10.1-inch FHD LED-backlit touchscreen and front-facing DTS+ stereo speakers. The Split x2, on the other hand, has a slightly larger screen of 13.3 inches than the aforementioned device, but it proffers a lower resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
Operating on the Windows 8 platform, the tablet is powered by a third generation Intel Core i3 or i5 processor. The company is deploying it with 2GB of RAM, 128GB mSATA HDD storage, a 1080p webcam, dual speakers with Beats Audio and a host of connectivity options like Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth amongst others. The keyboard dock for both, the SlateBook x2 and Split x2 feature multi-touch clickpads for gesture support and a battery for longer operation times.
The SlateBook x2 is currently retailing for a price of Rs 39,990, while the Split x2 can be picked up for Rs 64,990. Coming to the other devices from the company, the Envy Rove 20 is selling for Rs 69,990, the Pavilion 11 TouchSmart for Rs 64,990 and the Android powered Slate 21 AIO for Rs 24,990.
