HP’s stylish Slate 6 VoiceTab phablet has been given a decent price cut in India, making the device available below the Rs 20,000 mark. The phone-cum-tablet is now retailing for Rs 19,990 after a reduction of Rs 3,000 on the original Rs 22,990 tag.
The price cut has been applied to the company’s online store and as always, you can get the tablet through other retailers for a lesser price. Currently, the HP Slate 6 VoiceTab is tagged at Rs 15,599 on Amazon and Flipkart is selling it for Rs 17,499. Snapdeal, on the other hand, has it listed for a little over Rs 17,000. The device was launched along with the Slate 7 VoiceTab which is larger, but cheaper at Rs 16,990.
The HP Slate 6 VoiceTab is one pretty looking device. It comes with a textured rear panel and the front looks quite similar to the Tegra Note 7 from Nvidia. The hardware employed here, however, isn’t as impressive. You get a decent 6-inch HD IPS touchscreen, a 2MP camera and dual stereo speakers on the front, while the rear sports a 5MP shooter with LED flash. On the inside, you get a quad core 1.2GHz Marvell PXA1088 SOC based on the Cortex A7, 1GB of RAM, 16GB storage, a microSD card slot, dual SIM housings and a 3000mAh battery.
