Featuring the latest generation of Intel Core processors, the new Toshiba Satellite P800 series and Satellite S800 laptops are all set to roll out during Q3 of 2012. These performance-driven notebooks come with aluminum casings and flaunt sleek designs.
Starting with the P800 series, the manufacturer has wrapped it with a wide variety of offerings. Firstly, it sports an all-new body that’s drenched in champagne silver. Hidden within its aluminum frame is a 3rd Generation Intel Core processor and discrete Nvidia GeForce 630M graphics. For entertainment seekers, it houses a Harman Kardon stereo speaker system along with the SRS Premium Sound 3D enhancement and an HDMI output for viewing content on external screens. These components are complemented by the battery-saving Optimus technology.
“Toshiba’s Satellite P800 series and all-new Satellite S800 series laptops offer leading edge processing technology and outstanding audio, perfect to handle a wide range of demanding tasks, from content creation to media management and playback to 3D gaming and more,” commented Carl Pinto, vice president of product development, Toshiba America Information Systems, Digital Products Division. “With thinner and lighter form factors and high-quality, durable designs, these laptops are perfect for consumers looking for more of everything.”
Similar to the P800 series, the S800 range also features the latest processor options from Intel. However, users can opt for a CPU from AMD along with discrete ATI graphics. Flaunting a brushed aluminum casing in an ice blue shade, this offering comes with a raised tile keyboard for better typing comfort. In addition to the USB Sleep & Charge and Sleep & Music technologies, both laptop families incorporate multiple USB 3.0 ports and an HD TruBrite LED backlit display with 14-inch, 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch screen options. Certain configurations can be equipped with a Blu-ray Disc player as well.
The Toshiba Satellite P845 and P855 price tags start at $799.99. Both laptops will be available exclusively through Best Buy stores and the ToshibaDirect website starting Q3 2012. For the S800 series, the initial price amounts to $699.99 and it’s expected to roll out on June 24 of this year, through major retail outlets and ToshibaDirect.com.
