Buffalo’s got out a chic looking the portable Ethernet converter that extends the capability of a wireless network by delivering three operating modes – AirStation Nfiniti WLAE-AG300N Wireless-N dual band Ethernet converter, access point and bridge.
The AirStation Nfiniti Wireless-N dual band Ethernet converter is capable of hooking up two wired devices like printers, gaming consoles or DVRs to an accessible wireless network. A regular wired network can be transformed into a high speed 11n network or the range may be expanded by connecting two or more wireless networks, while 802.11n dual band support delivers easy connectivity and wide compatibility.
“Our portable Ethernet Converter provides feature-rich connectivity solution to consumers with ease of use and speed. The Nfiniti wireless Ethernet Converter provides great speed for Music, Internet Phone, Email, Video and Gaming as compared to N Technology. It only requires a One-Time Setup, which means that it can be moved from device to device without reconfiguration,” remarked Susumu Kobayashi, Country Head, Buffalo Technology.
This gadget that meets IEEE 802.11n specifications can be employed to set up IEEE 802.11n 2.4GHz/5GHz, 802.11g/b and 802.11a wireless networks. A push-button secures wireless connections with AOSS, while two integrated 10/100 ports allow for a couple of simultaneous connections. The device also accommodates backward compatibility with 802.11g, 802.11a, and 802.11b standards.
Other specifications include WPA2, WPA-PSK (TKIP, AES) and 128/64-bit WEP Security support, the ability to move from one device to another without reconfiguration and simplified driverless web configuration. The Buffalo AirStation Nfiniti Wireless-N dual band Ethernet converter costs Rs 3,500. It’s currently available at resellers and select retail outlets across India with a two-year replacement warranty.
