Asus has delivered some interesting offerings under its Fermi line of DirectX 11 cards so far. The company is now extending the ENGTS450 DirectCU series graphics cards powered by the Nvidia GeForce GTS450 graphics processor. The cards are offered in two variants, one that overclocks to perform at 925MHz and the other at 783MHz.
The level of heat dissipation required by hardcore gaming or PC use is provided by the twin DirectCU 8mm copper heatpipes that also enable quieter operation. Its GPU voltage can be tweaked without resorting to rebooting or accessing the BIOS settings with the Smart Doctor utility, while Voltage Tweak technology enables the full throttle overclocking rates.
“The ENGTS450 DirectCU TOP/DI/1GD5 card is designed to provide optimal Overclocking performance and multimedia entertainment,” commented Vinay Shetty, Country Manager – Components Business, Asus India. “It is certified to overclock to 118% the performance of reference GTS450 graphics cards. This VGA reinforces Asus’ innovation for superb Overclocking performance.”
All that overclocking gets leveled up with the POSCAP and 4-phase power supply architecture for stable and sufficient current flow during adjustments. The card also integrates Fuse Protection and EMI as well as the PCB stiffener and GPU Guard. Pre-installed AiWi software converts an Apple iPhone or iPod touch into a wireless keyboard and mouse or a wireless motion controller for compatible PC titles.
Featuring a 128-bit memory interface, the graphics card employs the PCIe 2.0 bus standard, 1GB DDR5 video memory, a CUDA core and accommodates DVI resolutions of up to 2560 x 1600p. The 8.5” x 4.3” ENGTS450 DirectCU video card hosts D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs apart from being HDCP compliant.
There’s no clear word on the pricing and availability details as of now.
