This external, super-slim drive is highly portable.
Keeping up to the hectic lifestyle, it adorns a small form factor sporting a sleek look. It holds within recording speeds of up to 8X DVD±R. Thus, brings to users a full 4.7 GB disc of video, data, music or images on standard 8X DVD+R media. It is capable of recording on 8.5GB DVD+R Double/Dual layer and 4.7GB DVD-RW discs at 6X speeds. Additionally, DVD+RW at 8X, DVD-RAM at 5X and CD-R/RW at 24X.
“Our new slim drive was designed at the optimum performance level for consumers with Netbooks looking to store and share home movies, digital photos and music on the go,” said Jun Koyama, president of Sony Optiarc America.
The setup is simple maximum flexibility is maintained. The Nero DVD/CD mastering software suite further adds to the convenience. The support for USB 2.0 offers quick and easy connectivity option.
Over the time, netbooks have gained immense popularity. The shipments of netbook PCs have doubled in the past year and are expected to be three times by the end of next year, according to the Consumer Electronics Association.
