CherryPal, Energy Efficient and Affordable Cloud Computer Announced

CherryPal Computer CherryPal has launched its new cloud computer, which is said to be the most energy efficient and affordable desktop computer. Manufacturer claims that CherryPal is a completely new type of PC that has no moving parts, contains 80 percent fewer components, uses only 2 watts of power, and is highly secure.

The CherryPal is as small as a paperback book and weighs just 10 ounces. CherryPal computer is said to be quite durable due to the lack of moving parts. It features 256MB of memory and a 4GB flash drive inside; rest of the data can be kept in the cloud.

Most importantly, the computer uses only 2 watts power. Freescale 5121E processor and integrated graphics help the computer to lower down the power consumption, which makes it good for the environment and countries that face severe power shortage.

“Today’s typical PC is based on a computing model created 25 years ago, before the Internet, web browsers and global warming,” said CherryPal CEO, Max Seybold. “We have developed a new computing model that makes CherryPal the easiest to use, greenest, most affordable computer available today.”
