According to a certain Mountain View-based search giant, the newly launched Google Search app for iPhone brings in a faster and simpler experience. Through this update, users will be presented with a completely redesigned UI, numerous speed improvements, quicker results and full-screen image search.
Apart from delivering quick results, the update should provide better search suggestions and auto-completion of words. The slide-in panel presents itself as an intuitive way of viewing websites, while swiping back and forth allows users to switch between pages and queries or search modes like Images and Places. There’s also a magnifying glass on the bottom menu which is said to make finding text a breeze.
“Starting today, when you use the Google Search app on your iPhone, you’ll see a completely redesigned interface that gives you faster results, beautiful full-screen image search, and a simple way to access all your Google apps in one place,” states Noah Levin, Interaction Designer, Google Search app, through a post made on the official Google blog.
For enhanced photo search, the images button within the application is capable of displaying high-resolution pictures in a grid layout. Users can scroll through photos in full-screen view or tap on any one to bring up details about it. In addition to these fresh features, all Google services have been allocated to a single interface proffering quick and convenient access to specific apps such as Gmail, Google+, YouTube, Docs and much more.
The Google Search app for iPhone is available for download through the App Store free of charge.
