Google Samsung Galaxy S4 price in US $649, to launch on Play store unlocked

Google Samsung Galaxy S4

Instead of a Nexus branded device, Google has collaborated to design a new Samsung Galaxy S4 in US that will be available next month for a $649 price. The device will arrive sans any customizations from the South Korean conglomerate and it will deliver a vanilla Android experience.

The Google Samsung Galaxy S4 is most likely going to be a hit amongst fans, especially those who prefer an AOSP based device. Hugo Barra, VP of product management at Android highlights through a blog post that the handset will deliver a similar experience found in Nexus smartphones as well as tablets. To make things clear, this variant will not be shipping with the extra goodies like TouchWiz, Smart Scroll, Smart Pause, Air Gesture, Air View, Hub and many others found on the company’s current flagship.

Rear Side

On the bright side, services from the Mount View giant will be included. They comprise of Search, Maps, YouTube, GTalk, Plus, Navigation and Voice Search. On the design front, the device will arrive flaunting the same form factor and even hardware components. However, there’s no confirmation on which AP will power up the handset. We’re hoping for the Exynos 5 version instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 as the latter is already present in the US variant.

Buyers will receive a 4.99-inch 1080p Super AMOLED touchscreen on the front with a 2MP webcam. The rear sports a 13MP AF camera with zero shutter lag, a BIS and an LED flash. On the inside, 16GB of memory will be available for hoarding content and whether the device will arrive with a microSD card slot, is still a looming question. 2GB of RAM and a 2,600mAh battery will also be encased within the phone’s 7.9mm thick profile.
