Google has begun sending out an update for the Nexus 5X which may just spell the end for major issues that have been dogging the handset since its release. The tech giant has apparently listened to the feedback its received and accordingly decided to beam out some bug fixes in the upgrade.
These fixes supposedly raise the overall stability, connectivity and performance of the Nexus 5X. Google is also going to bake in the March security update in the upgrade. The company hasn’t mentioned whether there’s a specific repair for the phone’s camera, one of the biggest issues being faced by users of the smartphone.
All this information has come out via a post by a certified Google Nexus Community Manager on Reddit. The thread is filled with users who complain about the laggy performance of the Nexus 5X’s shooter. Some say it’s slow to open, causes the phone to crash or just freezes. One member claims to be seeing a massive difference in performance after updating their device.

According to the Redditor, the lag has vanished, the camera is snappier and multitasking is now possible when clicking a photo. There’s no way of knowing whether this will be the case for all Nexus 5X owners until the OTA release reaches everyone. As per the Google Manager, this has come to pass because the brand has produced carrier-specific builds. Most of the world, including a majority of US carriers such as Fi, will be utilizing build MHC19J. He also asserted that the upgrade will resolve problems like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi performance issues, DND next alarms disappearing and slow or sluggish behavior.
