Just as it was with the Nexus 6, an e-commerce website has jumped the gun and started offering the Google Nexus 9 tablet before the search giant does. The 64-bit Android slate is currently available in India through Amazon and it’s tagged at Rs 28900.
If you head over to the Play store, you’ll be greeted with a coming soon label for the Google Nexus 9. Nevertheless, the one being sold by the e-commerce website is officially sourced from the Mountain View company as it’s being offered with warranty and is fulfilled by Amazon. The price is also the same as what’s listed on Google’s store.
Just so you know, the model available for purchase is Wi-Fi-only and it offers 16GB of internal storage which is non-expandable. The Nexus 9 is made by HTC which is the company’s first tablet since a very long time. The slate offers some great features and it’s also the first from the Nexus lineup to carry a 64-bit processor.
The chip used here is the dual core Denver (Tegra K1) SOC from Nvidia and it offers some great graphics performance. Additionally, various HTC goodies are also onboard including the iconic dual front-facing BoomSound speakers. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes preloaded and visuals are delivered via an 8.9-inch QXGA IPS LCD panel with Gorilla Glass 3.
