Google India has started the display of advertisements in Hindi under its contextual Adsense service. Under this contextual service, website publishers earn a portion of the advertising revenue for placing Google sponsored links on their web sites.
86 percent of the 25 million odd Internet users in India regularly check out blogs. Hence blogging and the Internet have well become a mass medium in India. Almost 41 per cent Indians, who go online, prefer an Indian language web site, with Hindi at the top with 17 percent.
Google Adwords in Hindi has not gone official as yet. It is yet in beta.
