Goldgenie has done it again; it has plated the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge smartphones in 24k gold even before they could be released into the markets officially. The usual 24k gold, rose gold and platinum options are soon to be made available for pre-order, with their prices starting at £1664.
That cost applies to the 24k gold variant, while the asking amounts of the other two models will be going way beyond that. Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge will start being taken by Goldgenie on March 20. Those interested will need to show their commitment by placing a 50 percent deposit on their chosen phone.
The company will stop taking pre-orders on April 7, and will make the gold-plated Galaxy S6 and S6 edge available normally from April 10 onwards. These ultra-expensive phones do not find a lot of takers in the usual smartphone consumer base, but Goldgenie does have a large loyal customer base of itself.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge were introduced by the South Korean giant last month. While the former holds a conventional 5.1-inch display, the latter grabs a same-sized dual-edge panel with curved sides. They have both been equipped with some really advanced hardware by their maker.
Here’s a clear look at the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge:
– Display: 5.1-inch Super AMOLED, 1440 x 2560 pixel
– OS: Android 5.0 Lollipop
– Processor: Quad 2.1GHz + quad 1.5GHz Exynos 7 Octa
– Memory: 3GB RAM, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB storage (not expandable)

– Battery: 2550mAh (S6), 2600mAh (S6 edge)

Like we said, Goldgenie will be making its 24k gold, rose gold and platinum versions of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge available for pre-order on March 20.
