Here’s some great news for all music aficionados who incidentally also own the iPhone, or is it the other way around!
Well that shouldn’t matter much, as the crux of the matter is that now iPhone owners can customize cool ringtones on their handsets absolutely free.
The new update of GarageBand 4.1.1 allows users to create custom rintones at no cost at all. And the process to get the same is really simple!
Here’s how you can customize a ringtone on your iPhone:

1. Set up a cycle region that covers the area you wish to use in the GarageBand song, which is 40 seconds or less in length.
2. Once the cycle area has been set, choose Share > Send Ringtone to iTunes.
A GarageBand 4.1.1 or later version, an iTunes 7.5 or later version and an iPhone with software version 1.1.2 or later are the prerequisites to get the customized ringtone.
