AT&T is getting into the holiday spirit by announcing new offers for gadget shoppers out there. The carrier will give out the 7-inch model in the Galaxy Tab 3 series for free, provided you pick up a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. There is however, a list of devices eligible for this promo. It contains the Note 2, the S4 Active, the Note 3 and the flagship S4.
Each smartphone needs to be picked up with a two-year contract or with the carrier’s Next program. Also, a Mobile Share voice and data plan is required which will also be activated for the Tab 3. This allows you to add the tablet to an existing subscription for a surplus charge of $10 per month.
Additionally, the Mobile Share data plan can be applied to a total of 10 devices. Another promotion from AT&T is that the carrier will offer a $100 minimum promotion card when an eligible smartphone is traded in for a new device with Next installments. The gift card can be used towards purchasing a tablet and accessories or against a service bill.
Let’s take a quick look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 specifications. The device is obviously 4G LTE compatible and it also supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. The Android 4.2 platform runs the show, while a 1.6GHz dual core processor powers it up. The device offers 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 4000mAh battery.
The two aforementioned promotions will be valid until supplies last or January 9, 2014. Without the offer, the Galaxy Tab 3 is available through AT&T for $199.99 with a two-year agreement or $15 per month with Next.
