Though Yahoo! has been dedicatedly letting the sun shine on users, reaping benefits of enhanced versions or new advanced services can’t pause knocking out all. According to the official Yahoo! Mobile blog, the company recently collaborated with MediaTek for an enhanced, even more connected user experience.
The newly formed alliance will enable Yahoo! to pre-load popular products directly on the mobile phone, subsuming Yahoo! Messenger, News, Finance, Weather, Mail, Flickr, Answers and more, using MediaTek’s application ecosystem. Through its partnership with a mobile chipset manufacturer, Yahoo! is anticipating to deliver mobile phone users a richer experience.
Besides, the step will make it more convenient for handset manufacturers to quicken their speed to market and trim down the cost of deploying Yahoo! services. The association will further complement MediaTek’s current collaboration with Yahoo!’s Connected TV group, which has incorporated Yahoo! Connected TV software platform onto MediaTek’s digital television chipsets.
