Several leaks have given away the existence of the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) and Galaxy J5 (2016) in the past, but here we are with official information about them finally. These two mid-range devices have been listed by the company on its Chinese website, albeit without any pricing information.
Both are dual SIM devices with 4G LTE support. The Galaxy J7 (2016) as well as the Galaxy J5 (2016) are compatible with Indian LTE bands which confirms that they are destined for a stint in the country, not that there was any doubt about that.
Samsung has equipped the larger Galaxy J7 (2016) with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display which offers its visuals in 1080p full HD resolution. It benefits from the prowess of a 1.6GHz octa core processor which has been paired with 3GB worth of RAM.
A quick glance at the specs of the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016):
– Display: 5.2-inch Super AMOLED, 720p HD
– OS: Android (version unclear)
– Processor: 1.2GHz quad core
– Memory: 2GB RAM, 16GB storage (expandable up to 128GB)
– Cameras: 13MP rear, 5MP front

Coming to the Galaxy J5 (2016), it’s a smaller version of the earlier device, and hence flaunts a 5.2-inch 720p HD display which is still Super AMOLED. It bears small differences in the internals specs, but its camera setup is again the same. Glance above for a full specs list of this handset.
