OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones to arrive alongside OnePlus 6

OnePlus Bullets V2

We already know a lot about the OnePlus 6, officially and unofficially thanks to leaks and forum posts. As it turns out, there is one new piece of information which hasn’t come to the surface till date.

It seems OnePlus is working on a pair of OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones to go along with the OnePlus 6. Before you start mourning the 3.5mm headphone jack, you should know that the company has already confirmed that the port will stay in place on its next flagship.

So the OnePlus Bullets Wireless could simply serve as an alternative to the current OnePlus Bullets V2. The earphones were launched in August 2016, so a wireless refresh makes sense now. The new item was discovered by Nashville Chatter lurking on a Bluetooth certification listing.

The page for the OnePlus Bullets Wireless doesn’t give much away, revealing its Bluetooth 4.1 support and Qualcomm processor of unknown make. The model number is BT31B and it showed up on April 4, indicating that this is a very new product.

Chances are, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless will get launched besides the OnePlus 6 by the end of the month, likely April 27. It’s possible the device will be infused with some AI smarts like Apple’s AirPods or Google’s Pixel Buds. Rather than making its own virtual assistant, the brand could go with the Google Assistant to answer queries wirelessly.

The OnePlus Bullets V2 are pretty affordable at $20 in the US and Rs 1199 in India. Here’s hoping the firm sticks to this formula for its wireless sequel as well.
