The Energy Tablet i8 is the latest addition to the company’s Energy lineup of slates packing in a host of connectivity features including Wi-Fi for browsing the internet and HDMI output for viewing content on a big screen. What’s more, this slim piece of hardware runs on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform, bringing in a host of interesting features.

For rich visuals, an 8-inch TFT LCD multi-touch capacitive display proffering resolutions of 1024 x 768 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio, is placed on the front. The innards play house to 1GB of DDR3 RAM for smooth transitions between apps and services, as well as an ARM Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1GHz.

Where memory is concerned, 8GB comes built-in with an expandable slot supporting microSD cards up to 64GB. Users will also have a VGA 640 x 480p camera on the front for video conferencing and a 2MP rear snapper to capture stills and record footage. Last on the list is a 3800mAh battery which aims at delivering up to 6 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi.
