Toshiba DX735 AIO desktop

Haven’t we heard of the clichéd ‘blends innovative PC technology with entertainment’ line, that the new Toshiba DX735 all-in-one desktop is essaying from umpteen PC manufacturers before? But what appears to make this desktop stand above competitors in this space is the distinct TV styling it adorns despite its diminutive 23” profile.

The 23” full HD multi-touch Toshiba DX735 ensures users can save on space without compromising on the style factor. The vivid display is capable of showing of HD content at full 1080p resolutions. In a glossy black finishing, the desktop sits comfortably above an eye-catching aluminum pedestal stand. In the box, users are also going to get a matching Bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse. With both peripherals pre-paired to work with this all-in-one, the keyboard includes a 10-key numeric keypad and can be stashed away on the base of the stand.

“Our All-in-One systems blend the best of Toshiba’s PC and visual product expertise for families and students looking to enjoy TV, watch DVDs and play games,” shared Carl Pinto, vice president of product development, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division. “Featuring a stylish and space-saving TV-like design, the DX735 is a great add to almost any room, enabling users to interact with their media, while acting as an ideal hub for family photos, videos, music and more.”

Enabling users to make the most of the home entertainment capabilities of the desktop, Toshiba throws in a gamut of connectivity options. An HDMI-in together with 2 USB 3.0 ports, one of which comes with USB Sleep and Charge and four USB 2.0 ports do much of the talking for themselves. It has also been incorporated with a DVD SuperMulti Drive and distinct Toshiba features like Sleep & Music and Resolution+. An edition of the PC is slated to be available with a TV tuner configured in as well.

The enhanced video and computing functions of the Toshiba DX735 are well-complemented by an improved audio system. The Onkyo stereo speakers which Toshiba says have been tuned by experts at Waves to suit professional needs add to the niceties on offer. The speakers boast of the Waves MaxxAudio sound processing technology for better, clearer and louder sound quality. To be available in the 2nd generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor options, the desktop includes 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive.

The Toshiba DX735 all-in-one desktop is slated to exclusively hit Best Buy stores and BestBuy.com on October 2, 2011, starting with an MSRP of $956.99.
