A lot of companies seem to be taking their products down the green turn nowadays. Casio America has come out with a series of mercury-free high-brightness data projectors under the Green Slim projector line. The XJ-A255, XJ-A250, XJ-A245, XJ-A240, XJ-A155, XJ-A150, XJ-A145, XJ-A140 and XJ-A130 are included in this array of data projectors.
The Green Slim projector utilizes laser and LED hybrid light sources to deliver between 2000 to 3000 lumens of brightness in an adequately lit room without using a high-pressure mercury lamp. Projectors that can accommodate WXGA Real displays at 1280 x 800 dots in a 16:10 ratio and those that can project content without a PC are part of this line-up.
The data projectors’ laser and LED hybrid light source enhances color purity to render vivid and crisp image reproductions. Each of Casio’s offerings hosts an HDMI terminal that enables users to transmit digital A/V with a single cable. The light source is touted to extend almost 20,000 hours of life. Their wide-angle 2 x zoom lens allows for greater magnification and is attributed with automatic correction of vertical distortion of the display.
“Casio is thrilled to introduce this entirely new lineup of eco-friendly Super Slim projectors. The advances we have made to provide superior brightness and energy-saving features make it the perfect tool for the road warrior, instructor, gamer and general consumer for home entertainment,” declaimed Toshiharu Okimuro, Chairman of Casio America,
Users are offered quick powering on and off functionality with this device since achieving maximum brightness is possible within eight seconds. The XJ-A255/A245/A155/A145 boast of USB 2.0 host function that equips them to communicate wirelessly with up to four Windows PCs via IEEE 802.11b/g. Moreover, they may be connected to the YC-430 multiprojection camera for projection of non-digitalized information or even 3D images.
Casio’s latest projectors weigh in at 5lbs each and measure 11.7″ x 1.7″ x 8.3″. Each device hosts an HDMI input terminal, 3.5mm mini-jack, 15 pin RGB mini D-Sub input port and composite A/V terminal. They come with a wireless remote control, AC power cord, RGB cable, AV cable, CD-ROM containing an instruction manual and soft case. The pricing details are unclear for now.
