Sony unveils new LCD TVs in the Bravia series

Yesterday Sony got the wraps off its new LCD TV line-up in the Bravia family. The line-up comprises of many new models that should allow users to effortlessly access, share and enjoy their multimedia content. In stylish designs the innovative LCD TVs are bundled with many new-generation networking features.

Models the new Bravia range includes are the E5500 and E5300 series models that come in a beautiful Picture Frame styling, WE5 Full HD Green TV, W5500, E5500, E5300, V5500 and S5500.

Adorning a minimalist ‘Draw the Line’ styling, Sony’s novel LCD televisions boast of the Bravia Engine 3 and Motionflow 100Hz along with Image Blur Reduction that offers amazing full HD picture quality. Bundled with DLNA and USB Media player, users can also access digital image content stored on the PC’s hard drive.

Packed with a Bravia remote control that will allow users to control playback functions like pause, fast-forward and rewind, the range also delivers low power consumption with its eco-centric features. The TVs are compatible to a range of audio and video formats like Mpeg1, MP3

The new TVs are also loaded with a new AppliCast feature that will allow users to access online services by a simple connection to the internet through the Ethernet port. Users can access many useful widgets through the XMB on-screen interface along with pre-installed Analogue Clock, Calendar and How To Use AppliCast guide, Bravia and more.

The WE5 TV is a green TV designed to particularly reduce a user’s carbon footprint. The TV lowers power consumption by up to 50% and is bundled with many other environment-friendly features. As for the W5500, it comes in 32/37/40/46/52-inch options. Sporting a deep piano black finish and understated transparent detailing in a draw the Line design concept, the W5500includes Motionflow 100Hz technology with Image Blur Reduction along with BRAVIA ENGINE 3 and Live Color, DLNA, AppliCast and a built-in MPEG 4 AVC HD tuner.

The E5500 and the E5300 TVs come in display options of 32/40 inch and 22 inch. While the E5500 is a slim and super-stylish Picture Frame Full HD TV available in black, aluminium and walnut-effect finishes, the E5300 comes in black or white finish options. The E5500 includes Motionflow 100Hz with IB Reduction and the E5300 TV includes four HDMI inputs.

The V5500 will be available in display options of 32/37/40/46/52-inch and the S5500 LCD TV will be available in display options of 22/32/37/40-inch. With ‘Draw the Line’ styling cues, the V5500 comes with a deep piano black finish accented by a subtle mirror accent and the S5500 sports a contrasting piano black/matt textured finish.

There is no word on the price or availability of the new Bravia LCD TV range.
