No one can deny the usefulness of projectors when it comes to presenting a project or idea to an audience within a fair-sized venue. NEC Display Solutions of America has come out with two new NP Installation Series solutions – the NP2200 and NP1200 professional installation projectors.

The projectors deliver visuals in XGA native resolutions of 1024 x 768 in contrast ratios of 600:1 while the audio is supported by 5W stereo speakers. NP2200 proffers 4200 ANSI lumens of brightness and the NP1200 renders 3700 lumens of brightness. They use an array of optional (5) bayonet-style lenses that allow for screen sizes ranging from 40-500 inches at projection distances of 2.8-304 feet.

Integrated AutoSenseT intuitively syncs the projector with any PC signal and permits one-touch image optimization. Variable audio-out lets users remotely control the volume of external speakers connected to the projector. Monitoring and making adjustments to its settings through the network from a remote area is made possible with remote diagnostics. Security attributes are cited as keypad and Kensington locks, password protection mode and an option to deactivate buttons on the cabinet to impede unauthorized access.

“The NP2200 and NP1200 achieve outstanding performance for a variety of settings at an affordable price. These NP Installation Series models offer advanced technologies, like remote monitoring, that provide flexibility and unbeatable total cost of ownership,” remarked Rich McPherson, Product Manager for projectors at NEC Display Solutions.

ECO ModeT technology aids the energy-efficiency of the device with the power consumption in standby mode amounting to as less as 0.4W. A green ECO mode button on the remote control lets users switch between energy-friendly settings to extend battery life by up to 3000 hours while the in-built carbon savings meter lets owners track their energy savings. Connection options for VGA, 5-BNC, DVI-D with HDCP, RJ45 network control and multiple audio I/O are hosted by both projectors.

NEC’s NP2200 and NP1200 are tagged at $2,399 and $1,999, correspondingly. They are available with a three-year warranty inclusive of the first year with InstaCareT.
