Sony Asia Pacific has launched its latest Walkman NWD-B100 series MP3 player. The portable audio device is compact and stylish in look, with a lightweight of merely 30g. NWD-B100 connects directly to the PC through a USB port without the problems of cables. The Sony MP3 player adopts the drag-and-drop interface for music and files transfer without any software installation.
Available in memory capacities of 1GB and 2GB, the Sony NWD-B100 incorporates newly developed “Auto Transfer” software, which automatically searches and transfers the most recently added tracks from your PC to your Walkman MP3 player, making certain that you are constantly up-to-date with your latest tunes.

The NWD-B100 player’s USB connection enables users to enjoy all the songs in one’s Walkman NWD-B100 streaming to Sony’s mini and micro HiFi system with the same codec. Further more, it features voice recording function and has the capacity to record radio broadcasts so one can enjoy one’s favorite segments at any time and anyplace. .
The Walkman NWD-B100 series also doubles up as a handy voice recorder, allowing up to 44 hours of recording. It records personal notes and memos using the built-in microphone without the need to scrabble for a pen and paper. Recordings are encoded in the MP3 format so they can be easily shared among colleagues and classmates.
It incorporates a 3-line color LCD display, and has a simple menu for easy and intuitive navigation. Users have the ability to search for their preferred song quickly by artist, album and song or by the folder and file name. Its 6 different equalizer functions of heavy, rock, classic, pop, jazz and custom mean sounds can be tuned for your listening pleasure.
Available in black, white and violet colors, the Sony Walkman NWD-B100 series MP3 player will be launched in the Asia Pacific region in August 2007. The 1GB model is priced at £35 and the 1GB version with radio comes for £45, while the 2GB comes for £45 and 2GB with radio is priced at £55.
