Nokia India has just launched the Nokia N93i mobile phone that combines a compact and stylish digital camcorder with a multimedia device. According to Nokia, with the new Nokia N93i mobile phone, consumers will be able to bring out the ‘movie maker’ in them, as they will have a multimedia device to capture their personal experiences, convert those into personalized short films and then share it with the rest of the world.

The Nokia N93i mobile phone features a 3.2 mega pixel camera with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The lens has been made by Carl Zeiss optics with a 3x optical zoom, auto focus and close-up mode. Users can shoot DVD-like quality videos in MPEG-4 VGA at up to 30 frames per second, and they can also conduct stereo audio recording and digital stabilization as well.

The Nokia N93i mobile phone has a 1GB miniSD card that can store around 45 minutes of DVD-like quality video or up to 1250 high-quality photos.

Basically, the Nokia N93i mobile phone is based on the S60 3rd Edition software. The N93i comes preloaded with Adobe Premium Elements 3.0 software. This allows users to shoot professional quality movies and then transfer them onto a compatible PC, after which these videos can be burned onto DVDs.

The Nokia N93i mobile phone has been designed to work on WLAN, 3G (WCDMA 2100 MHz), EDGE and GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) networks, providing mobile broadband Internet access for browsing, uploading content, and for sending and receiving mails.

Besides, other features of the Nokia N93i mobile phones include MP3 music playback, podcasts, stereo FM radio and mobile TV video streaming.

The Nokia N93i mobile phone has a metallic finish keypad and a mirror effect cover. It has a 2.4” main display of up to 16 million colors and has a 160 degrees viewing angle. Besides, the user-friendly joystick provides smooth control, and the dedicated camera keys allow for quick capture of images. The joystick also makes it easier to switch to shooting mode and also operates the flash quickly.

Nokia N93i connected to PC to use Vox, the blogging serviceThe N93i mobile phone from Nokia also integrates a new personal video and photo blogging service called Vox, which has privacy features that allow users to share articles, stories and thoughts almost instantly with friends or the entire world for that matter.

Another feature of the Nokia N93i mobile phone is its Direct TV out functionality, which makes it possible to have a mass screening of your self-made video or latest photos. All the user has to do is connect the N93i to a compatible TV with the supplied video-out connectivity cable. In addition to this, one could also go the wireless way and use the integrated wireless LAN (WLAN) technology to connect to a compatible UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) enabled device.
