BlackBerry 8800 Smartphone introduced in the Indian market by RIM

BlackBerry 8800 Smartphone On March 21, Research in Motion (RIM) introduced the much awaited BlackBerry 8800 smartphone in the Indian market. The BlackBerry 8800 smartphone is just 14mm thick, making it the thinnest BlackBerry handset till date.

The BlackBerry 8800 smartphone from RIM is definitely a first-of-its-kind for BlackBerry smartphones in India with its host of multimedia features and a microSD expandable memory slot. The BlackBerry 8800 smartphone is equipped with a highly tactile, full QWERTY keyboard and RIM’s user-friendly trackball navigation system. Besides, this BlackBerry also comes with a built-in Global Positioning System (GPS).

What’s more, the rather elegant and sleek looking Blackberry 8800 delivers top notch performance with smoothly integrated support for voice and data applications, including phone, email, text messaging, web browser, organizer and multimedia.

To power its robust performance is an ultra-think, high-capacity battery that further extends the uncompromising battery life that BlackBerry smartphones are known for.

The BlackBerry 8800 smartphone has support for quad-band GSM/GPRS and EDGE-enabled applications. Easy-to-use phone features include noise cancellation, Speaker Independent Voice Recognition for Voice Activated Dialling (VAD), intuitive call management functions such as smart dialing, conference calling, speed dialing and call forwarding.
