The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i, the latest addition to the company’s lineup of portable scanners, has been introduced for Mac as well as PCs and is compliant with platforms like Apple and iOS. The device can also send digital content to cloud-based services such as Dropbox, Evernote, SugarSync, Salesforce Chatter and more.
The Fujitsu scanner weighs a little more than 3lbs and facilitates one-button scanning using the ScanSnap Folder. With the help of the free of charge ScanSnap Connect app, the scanned paperwork can easily be sent to Android gadgets running Froyo or later platforms and even Apple devices operating on iOS 4.2.1 or later. It can scan double sided color pages at the rate of 12ppm.
“In the constantly evolving and fast-paced world that we live in today, people need a versatile and flexible solution to help them keep up with the demands and that is exactly what the ScanSnap S1300i is designed to do,” quoted Scott Francis, vice president of marketing, Fujitsu Computer Products of America. “From its ability to scan directly to multiple cloud-based services and mobile devices, to its PC and Mac compatibility, to its compact size, the ScanSnap S1300i allows consumers and business professions to be even more productive and paperless anywhere they go.”
Complete with ScanSnap Organizer for PDF and JPEG files, this compact device has been integrated with ScanSnap Manager to offer simplified operation for Mac as well as PCs. Business cards scanned using Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i scanner are automatically exported to Outlook, Excel, Salesforce or Outlook and Address Book for Mac as well as any other contact management software. Moreover, it adjusts the resolution on small documents and allows users to highlight text on black and white documents. And if that’s not enough, its ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap readily transforms paperwork into Word or Excel files, which can be edited too.
The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i scanner price is $295. It is available through authorized retailers.
