With the company’s portfolio of FinePix cameras available in several series, Fujifilm has unveiled its latest addition to the ‘F’ range with the FinePix F600 EXR camera. Possessing similarities to its predecessor ‘the F550 EXR,’ the new model is said to boast from number of new features like the in-built GPS function and the 300fps video capture capability.
Equipped with a 16-megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor and a 3-inch LCD screen, the device is capable of capturing wide-angle images at 15x optical zoom with the help of intelligent digital zoom technology that offers the 35mm equivalent of a 24-360mm lens. Additionally, with the camera, users can capture photos at extreme distances and enhance the contrast/sharpness of the image without reducing the image quality and can further eliminate noises in unwanted areas which would lead to low quality results.
Compiled with the same technology used in the F550 EXR model, the F600 EXR camera also comes with the 16-megapixel EXR CMOS sensor that combines the Back Side Illuminated CMOS (BSI-CMOS) and EXR technologies to produce high quality images in low lighting conditions. With changes made to the design of the sensor and the addition of the new EXR auto mode, the high ISO and motion detection functions work together to capture fast moving objects with reduced blur. Also, users can manually select modes like EXR HR (High Resolution), EXR DR (Dynamic Range) and EXR SN (Signal to Noise) based on their own preference.
A highlighted feature of the Fujifilm FinePix F600 EXR is the Landmark Navigator that automatically provides users with information on place of high interest from its database of over a million locations. With the addition of this GPS function, current position and distance to the targeted area can be acquired and also navigation to previous locations where images were taken. For a 360 degree picture of the surrounding, users can utilize the panoramic functionality that ensures every single aspect of a location is captured into the image.
Additional features incorporated into the camera include 1080p HD video capture with stereo sound and a frame capture rate of up to 320fps, option of raw file format, film simulation mode, Photobook Assist function and P, A, S, M exposure modes. Further, the device comes with 33MB internal storage and is compatible with SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards.
The 16MP Fujifilm FinePix F600 EXR camera comes in four color options and a rubberized body coat for the Black color model only. Pricing and availability of the device is currently not disclosed.
