Foxit eSlick gets firmware update, supports more file formats

Foxit eSlick eReader Foxit has announced the release of firmware 2.0 for its renowned eSlick eReader. The company now augments the device’s format support. It is now capable of ePub and eReader (PDB) apart from the previous PDF and Text formats.

With ePub and eReader, users can read books downloaded from any website supporting these file formats. Much to users’ delight, Foxit also adds a bookmark option.
This ‘slick’ device is embedded with an on-screen virtual keyboard to type in text. This also helps to unlock password protected documents.

The on-screen virtual keyboard enables users to enter text. Text entering ability is necessary to unlock documents that feature password protection. The new update also enables viewing GIF, EMP, JPEG, and PNG formats.

Now users can effortlessly manage those large ebook libraries with the incorporated folder option. They can create folders to categorize books according to their preference. Alongside, the ability to name, copy, paste, move and delete folders.

From the end of this month, all eSlick devices will feature firmware version 2.0. The existing users can download the firmware for free from foxitsoftware.com.
