Five new Acer S series monitors namely the S235HL, S200HL, S230HL Abd, S230HL Abii and S271HL have begun to roll out in the U.S. Each entrant boasts of a sleek chassis with an adjustable tilt base and a LED backlight display that proffers a 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
First up is the S235HL 23-inch widescreen LCD display which sports a slim, over half an inch profile complete with a modern touch. Besides playing back 16:9 HD content, the gadget includes one VGA and two HDMI ports. Sitting pretty on a silver base, the setup is complete with High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection to support full HD data and display copy-protected media.
Next is the S200HL monitor that dons a 20-inch widescreen LCD and proffers resolutions of 1600 x 900 pixels and comes with VGA and DVI inputs. Then there are the 23 inchers, namely the S230HL Abd and S230HL Abii LCDs providing content in full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolutions. Both these options are claimed to deliver high-bandwidth digital content protection.
The S230HL Abd brings in a VGA and a DVI port, while the S230HL Abii features one VGA and two HDMI ports. Furthermore, the S271HL wraps in a 27-inch widescreen LCD monitor with DVI and HDMI ports as well as a VESA mount.
The Acer S series price and availability details have been announced by the company already. The S235HL, S200HL, S230HL Abd, S230HL Abii and S271HL price tags are chalked out as $219, $139, $169, $189 and $329, respectively. The S235HL and S271HL LCD monitors will release in April this year, while others have already started selling in the U.S.
