Facebook at Work is a platform that’s used by companies to allow their employees to better interact with each other without having them access the regular version of the social network. Top Facebook executives have now revealed that this service will soon be tested by more companies in India.
Facebook at Work has apparently been seeing a very high rate of adoption worldwide since its launch. Moreover, India has been revealed to be the top priority countries for this service, which means the company will be putting more resources here to get firms to adopt the platform.
Ramesh Gopalkrishna, who heads the APAC department of Facebook at Work has said that Indian companies are one of the fastest to adopt this service. He has also disclosed that more than 60000 companies globally are currently looking forward to join the new platform.
Firms from across diverse sectors have joined this platform, including those from telecommunications, travel, retail and real estate. Indian companies like L&T Infotech, Godrej, Yes Bank, UST Global, Paytm, Practo, Zomato, BookMyShow, ibibo, AskMe, Delhivery, Urban Ladder, KartRocket, Edureka and more are already making use of Facebook at Work.
An account on this service is separate from the account on the normal version of the social network. However, it features everything from a News Feed for staying updated with the latest information, to groups that allow you to better collaborate with your colleagues. It also allows you to send messages and receive notifications moreover.
In fact, Julien Codorniou, the director of this service has said that 95 percent of what has been developed for Facebook has been adopted by Facebook at Work. It can be accessed via web as well as mobile.
