After rolling it out worldwide and adding the Listen With button for music buffs, team Zuckerberg has now decided to include some specially designed apps within the Facebook Timeline. The extensive list has names like Rotten Tomatoes, Ticketmaster, Pinterest, Gogobot, TripAdvisor, and more.
The Timeline, introduced late last year, was brought forth not only as a medium of presenting user profiles in a trendier manner, but it was also said to tell the Facebook journeys of these account owners in a better manner. Folks behind this recent development convey that the introduction of applications will further enhance the intuitiveness of the Timeline of becoming a more effective way of depicting the user interests.
“Timeline apps are for the activities you want to share with friends. You choose when to add an app, and you decide who can see it. After you’ve added an app, you can always remove posts directly from timeline, and you can also edit your settings from your personal Activity Log,” wrote Carl Sjogreen, director of platform, on the official Facebook blogpost which announced the introduction of apps.
For all foodies as well as closet cooks, the Timeline presently offers apps like Foodily and Foodspotting. While the former is meant to discover new recipes and share personal ones, Foodspotting lets users search for yummy dishes, restaurants, or locations. Similarly, travelers at heart can add Gogobot, TripAdvisor and more, while fashion conscious ones can acquire Pinterest and Pose. Updates from all these and other such apps can be seen in the ticker, timeline and even News Feeds.
With more applications on the way, Facebook Timeline users can now start adding the available ones to their account.
