Facebook has entered into collaboration with Storyful for launching FB Newswire for journalists, reporters and newsroom amongst others. These people can not only look for new stories and share them, but also embed them on their websites and blogs directly from social network.
Facebook says that over a billion users from around the globe use Facebook to discover, explore as well as participate in news-making events. And to make it easier for people dealing with news stories to discover them, the social networking website has come up with this new service. Storyful facilitates social content discovery and carries out verifications for newsrooms. FB Newswire will basically be responsible for aggregating newsworthy content so that it can be shared with people around the globe via news websites and other media.
The information will be collected via posts, status updates, pictures and more shared by people on Facebook. Stories showing up on the new service will be complete with original images and videos of the concerned event and will even include updates posted by SNS’ subscribers.
