The Facebook for iOS app has been updated and it is now said to be twice as fast as the previous version. The reworked application is said to have been developed ‘from the ground up’ to make it swifter.
Version 5.0 of the app in question should not only launch instantly, but also facilitate quickly scrolling through the news feed. Users may also notice that it now takes much less time to open pictures in the feed and a simple downward swipe immediately closes the image. Additionally, they will not have to wait for the news feed and notifications to load as these open up as soon as the application is launched.
As the developers have enhanced the scrolling speed, stories should materialize even more swiftly. In order to separate one story from the other, this software now utilizes banners. Also, a single tap on a post brings all the latest updates to subscribers’ fingertips.
Needless to say, the official mobile application of the popular social network is meant to keep users connected to their friends and family, while on the move. The iOS version, compatible with the iPhone and the iPad, supports group conversations in addition to gaming, texting and chatting. The push notification feature alerts users every time their friends like or comment on their posts.
Version 5.0 of the Facebook for iOS app has gone live on the Apple App Store. Users can either navigate to iTunes to update the application or have the link texted to their respective smartphones. It can be downloaded for free.
