The folks at Moo have been doing some serious thinking and now they’ve come up with an undeniably fun notion in the form of Facebook Cards. The idea is accompanied by the refrain ‘There are so many great things about you – so why keep it all online?’. And we’re not the only ones sold on it already.
Basically, people can order colorful business cards created from their Facebook Timeline. It’s the Cover Photo concept of the social network transformed into Moo’s business card format. The designs imitate the fonts, iconography and layout of the aforesaid feature, while including the user’s essential information. By this, we mean details like the concerned member’s name, company or college, phone number, email address, location and Facebook URL.
Taking the personalization bit up a notch or two, Moo automatically adds in the first quote dropped into the user’s Favorite Quotations field, though this is open to editing just like the other data on the card. A pack of 50 is priced at $15, with the cost covering delivery charges to the doorstep and each one in the set can be imprinted with a different image. Mashable says that the company is giving 50-card bundles to the first 200,000 users, or 10 million, for free.
While the initial 50,000 orders should be accompanied by free shipping, the others will attach a shipping fee. Those who want a pack of these cards can hit up www.facebook.com/yourfacebookusername/info, and set off on their way to customizing and ordering them.
