Earlier today, the extratorrent.cc website had gone down and various connectivity issues were cited as the reason for the outage. And it wasn’t restricted to a few areas, the site was inaccessible in almost the entire world.
The exact reason for the outage is not known, but the official Facebook page of the portal had revealed that some ISPs were behind this. It was these service providers who decided to deny users access to the extratorrent.cc website, claimed the company via a status on the said social network. However, as the guys over at TorrentFreak reveal, this cannot be possible, unless it was the service’s own hosting provider or domain registrar who pulled up support.
To make sure that its visitors are not left in the lurch, the website representatives had offered some alternative web addresses to help people continue using the website. And these were working fine. The aforementioned blog said that it won’t be long before the domain or an alternative for it, is back on track. And that’s exactly what happened. The website can now be accessed, but with certain issues. Some users say they are unable to view pictures on it.
As of now, the extratorrent.cc website is up and running almost everywhere. Anyone out there still unable to access it? Do let us know if you are still facing issues.
