Epson has launched the replacement for the Stylus Photo R2400 – the Stylus Photo R2880 that the professional photographers will be pleased with, as it is bound to give them the highest-quality sellable photographs and fine art prints that they always wanted.
Along with the technology used in Epson’s Stylus Pro printer line, the printer also features Epson UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta ink technology, Radiance Technology and a high-performance Advanced MicroPiezo AMC print head for professional photographic output with a resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi.
Radiance Technology smoothes color transitions and perfects the highlight and shadow detail.
“Photographers will demand this printer for one primary reason – it will enable them to create the world’s finest exhibition-quality prints,” said Patrick Chen, product manager, Epson America Inc. “After three years of uncompromising development, the 13-inch wide Epson Stylus Photo R2880 will redefine the standards for creative control and print quality photographers expect from Epson.”
The 13-inch carriage desktop inkjet printer can also create professional digital portfolios as it can print directly onto inkjet printable CDs and DVDs.
It can also be connected to two computers via the 2.0 USB ports provided with it.
The device is extremely reliable as the print head needs less maintenance as it features ink-repelling coating, a built-in sensor that enables automatic print head alignment and nozzle checking.
The Epson R2880 will be available in the markets by June 2008 and is priced at $799.99. To purchase it, one can directly approach the market resellers, specialty photo stores, computer superstores, online retailers and Epson’s official retail website.
