Epson sets up Mobile Vans to attend to Customer Queries

If you were breaking your head trying to fix your Epson item and were tired dialling the always busy number, then here’s some good news for you all.

Epson logo Epson has started a mobile van service for its customers in India, applicable within the period of warranty for all of its products.

The Epson van is equipped with spares, equipments, and all the required tools for repair of any and every Epson product. Present in the van is an Epson-certified service Engineer who will attend to the customer’s complaint.

The service is complete with automated SMS generation, whereby an SMS is sent to the Engineer, who is then supposed to reach the address within 3 hours of the call. At present Mumbai has two vans, and the by December there will be six vans around the city.

“Today, it’s not only about product excellence, but also about service excellence and customer retention. We, at Epson have always valued our customers and their feedback, and more so their requirements. Thus, this is another step towards meeting our customers service requirements quickly and effectively. We have started with Mumbai as of now, but will soon start in other major cities as well,” said G. Vijaya Kumar, deputy general manager – customer support, Epson.

Very soon Bangalore may also be getting one of these vans, and Delhi will have two vans operational by December. The van will attend to all complaints within the warranty period. Once the warranty period is over, customers will be able to avail “service support” by signing the Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) or the ‘express service’ by paying 3 to 4 percent more than the AMC price.

Customers can call from a BSNL phone on 1800 425 0011 – accessible 9am to 9pm on all days, including Sundays and Public Holidays. Also, they can use the Reliance number; 3900 1600 (prefix city code) for CDMA and Mobile users – accessible 9am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
