Updating its portfolio of single-cabinet home theater systems, the Zvox Z-Base soundbars lineup recently received 3 new additions namely, the V220, V320 and V420. Based on their specifications, these surround sound systems are built with much smaller dimensions as compared to previous models.
Bearing no external speakers, subwoofers or even wires, the Z-Base 220 sound system is said to be the size of a DVD player through dimensions that read at 17″ x 14.5″ x 3.4″. Employed within its cabinet are 3 speakers, a 5.25-inch subwoofer, a 35-watt amplifier and the PhaseCue II virtual surround sound technology. Additionally, this device can be placed under most TV sets ranging between 22 to 32 inches in size.
Zvox president and founder, Tom Hannaher, commented, “As one reviewer noted, our Z-Base concept is nearly the perfect home theater design. Under the TV is the right place for a surround sound system. With one connecting wire and a one-page owner’s manual – and no external speakers or wires – these are the simplest home theater systems ever invented.”
Built to withstand the weights of 27-inch to 46-inch TV sets, the Z-Base 320 reads at 24” wide and 11.5″ deep in dimensions and features 3 speakers, a 5.25-inch powered subwoofer as also a 40-watt amplifier. Through the 5 full-range speakers, a 45-watt amplifier and a 5.25-inch powered subwoofer, the Z-Base 420 claims to hold capabilities of emitting high performance 3D sound. Besides this, the device’s dimensions read as 28″ x 14.5″ x 3.4″ and it can take the weight of a 55-inch flat-panel TV set. Both the aforesaid systems come with PhaseCue II virtual surround sound.
The Zvox Z-Base V220 price tag reads at $199.99, whilst the V320 and V420 prices amount to $249.99 and 299.99, respectively. These newly launched home theater systems are available through the company’s official website.
