The latest addition to digital music systems is the Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 5 Encore, making its debut this August. The newest in the BeoSound 5 audio family, the device can access various internet radio stations and plug-n-play features. Also, it is capable of providing users a high quality listening experience with its award winning playlist technology and precise graphical user interface.
Inheriting the convenient and simple design from BeoSound 5, the Encore features a 10.4-inch display and a magical wheel that allows users to browse through music at the spin of a finger. For automatic generation of playlists comprising similar music based on sound, dynamics, and rhythmic aspects, the device is equipped with the MOTS algorithm that can access content from a USB, WLAN or LAN connected device.
Zean Nielsen, President of Bang & Olufsen America, commented, “BeoSound 5 Encore represents the first step into the new digital world where both permanent and temporary devices constantly change. We believe BeoSound 5 Encore acknowledges the different customer levels – in terms of familiarity with the digital music paradigm – and will appeal to both the technologically advanced and those that prefer a more simplistic way of interacting and navigating with ones preferred digital music library.”
With access to over thirteen thousand constantly updated internet radio stations from all genres, the digital music system can browse and play music from a connected portable hard disk, NAS server, PC, USB drive and any handheld device. Also, users can set up the device as an access point for other audio players. Additionally, to play different content in various rooms, up to eight BeoSound 5 Encores can be linked to the same server.
The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 5 Encore digital music systems will be available in Bang & Olufsen showrooms from August 2011 for a price of $3,350.
