Lately, we reported on Panasonic rolling out many Lumix camera models for those in love with flashing smiles. Now, the company plans to pamper entertainment zealots with Full HD 3D Blu-ray Disc players dubbed the DMP-BDT100.
The latest offering joins the DMP-BDT300 and DMP-BDT350 to provide 2D and 3D picture quality. The device lets users enjoy Full 3D HD images on HD compatible displays. The player employs various audio standards and converts all standard definition video formats to 1080p, thus enhancing video resolution for users’ viewing.
“From the beginning, Panasonic has led the way into the 3D era with end-to-end solutions ranging from our critically-acclaimed Full HD 3D VIERA Plasma TVs and 3D Blu-ray Disc Players, to professional 3D camcorders and our work with Hollywood studios on the authoring of Full HD Blu-ray 3D video content,” remarked Richard Simone, Vice President, Panasonic Networking Group.
Users can now delightfully watch high quality 3D content on Panasonic’s new offering since it efficiently produces augmented 3D images. VIERA CAST internet functionality which offers streaming services like Netflix, Amazon VOD, Pandora, Twitter and YouTube is also included. Wireless LAN capability further discards the exigency of connecting a LAN cable.
“The addition of the BDT100 3D Blu-ray Disc Player to our line-up marks one of many planned expansions of our 3D offerings designed to give consumers more options and greater access to the immersive world of 3D entertainment for the home,” Simone added.
2D images and movies from digital cameras and camcorders can also be viewed on the player with the help of its incorporated SD card and USB slot. Users can now easily view 3D Content shot by Panasonic’s HDC-SDT750 camcorder for improved 3D imagery. Interestingly, the player has a low boot up time of 0.5 seconds.
The DMP-BDT100 Blu-ray disc player is anticipated to be available beginning August. As of now, there’s no official word on the pricing tag.
