Asus Eee Top PC ET2010

An average technology enthusiast today is spoilt for choice when it comes to home entertainment thanks to the wide product offerings. Asus adds its ‘touch’ to this terrain with the new Eee Top PC ET2010 series. Launched for the UK, the portfolio includes two superior all-in-one devices mainly the ET2010PNT and ET2010AGT. These seamlessly blend in everyday computing with multimedia performance and that too in minimalist and stylish packages.

Boasting of a super-slim 1” profile, the PCs’ multi-touch 20” wide screen (1200 x 600) and multimedia prowess coupled with a robust processor and the latest graphics technology should allow home users to enjoy advanced computing. The PCs are bundled with DirectX 11 which along with the incorporated processors and graphics card technology allow enhanced video playback with more than pleasing visuals.

“The Asus Eee Top ET2010 delivers a rich multimedia and entertainment experience thanks to Nvidia Ion graphics. Whether you’re watching HD videos online, tagging and sharing family photos or playing your favourite PC games, this system will do it all in style” commented David Ragones, Director of Ion and GeForce Product Marketing at Nvidia.

The gadgets are HDMI compatible and infused with SRS virtual 5.1 surround sound. These all-in-one solutions allow users to instantly switch between the PC and Monitor mode for optimized viewing. The devices’ multi-touch functionality further allows users to navigate effortlessly. When working with fingertips, the ET2010PNT and ET2010AGT models featuring an optical 20” multi-touch screen offer far more sensitivity, resulting in a more accurate input. Moreover, the multi-touch screen allows users to pinch, zoom or rotate images with just two fingers.

Adorning a slim and lightweight 1” profile, users can even wall-mount certain models in this lineup without worrying about space. The series is modeled to be tough and the 9H screen is scratch and damage-resistant. The hardwearing devices include a U- Bar that can withstand a 30Kg pull while its stand can take up to 4Kg in push pressure. With Energy Star 5.0 ratification, the computers boast of a tiny carbon footprint. Their power consumption is said to be extremely low while the packaging includes 100% recycled materials. Asus has also left out paper-heavy manuals and puts in a simple DVD for the models instead.

In addition to this, the Eee Top PCs also boast of the exclusive Asus Eee Docking platform. This inclusion allows users to take advantage of a wide range of useful services and content that should enhance their daily computing. Eee Amuse, Eee Sharing, Eee Xperience and Eee Tools are included in the platform. Users can also connect to the company’s cloud computing services like Asus @Vibe and Asus WebStorage which comes as a 1-year free trial in this device.

Powered by the Windows 7 Home Premium system, the device also includes 2GB (DDR3 1066 / 2x Slot SO-DIMM / 8GB Max) memory, 500GB SATA II 7200rpm 3.5″ storage, a Tray-in Super Multi DVD, a 1.3MP webcam, Digital Array Microphone, 3-in-1 Memory card slot, USB ports, audio ports and Gigabit LAN port. These are some of the features of the ET2010PNT which is fueled by the Intel ATOM Dual Core D510 1.66Ghz. The ET2010AGT powered by the AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 250u 1.6Ghz pretty much packs in the same features
