LG is all set to attract customers in India with the unveiling of its new LCD TV for the first time with auto-sliding speakers, as a part of the festive season.
LG has announced the new LCD TV models with auto sliding speakers, in 32 inches and 42 inches, dubbed as the ‘Jazz’ Full High Definition LCD.
“Jazz will redefine expectations for television sound. This TV is an excellent fit for people who want a full entertainment experience from their TVs and who want to entertain others as well. With built in 3.1-channel surround sound, sliding speakers and excellent picture quality, all built on LG’s cutting edge technology, Jazz is truly one of a step above the rest. Through this launch we plan to garner 30% market share in the FPD Segment by year end,” said Amitabh Tiwari, Business Group Head, Consumer Electronics & Kitchen Appliances, LGEIL.
LG Jazz features 3.1 channel virtual surround sound system that gives 500 watts of output. The system consists of a total of 4 speakers that extend from the TV from either on the right of left to give a sense of space. The woofer is located in the back of TV for enhanced bass and fuller sound. The speakers have been designed by Mark Levinson, LG’s Chief Sound Advisor.
This was all about Jazz’s sound quality. As far as the display quality is concerned, the LG LCD TV boasts of a 1080p full HD resolution offering sharp image quality. It has the contrast ratio of 50,000:1. Also LG has kept maximum multimedia functionalities in mind to give this TV with three AV modes. Jazz comes with 2.0 USB connection providing access to MP3 files plus option to create an onscreen slideshow from JPEG files via the memory card reader that also features in it. Users can even watch digital video files on the TV. Also featuring in the LCD TV are the two HDMI 1.3 ports for digital video and audio connections for DVD players, cable boxes and game consoles.
The full HD 32inch LG 32LG80 is available for an MRP of Rs. 50,000 while the full HD 42 inch for an Rs.85,000; these will be made available by the year end.
