The Samsung Galaxy S5 mini which went official towards the start of last month is soon to reach India as the handset has already been listed on the company’s website. What’s more, the device carries the model number SM-G800H and it offers dual SIM card slots, leading us to believe that the single SIM option might not be planned for launch in the country.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 mini was also unveiled with LTE Cat4, but this model shows no mention of 4G connectivity being onboard. On the upside, there’s HSPA+ 42Mbps and the phone is a pretty good upgrade over its predecessor which offers a 4.3-inch display and a 1.4GHz dual core processor.
The latest handset has a slightly larger screen of 4.5 inches Super AMOLED type and the resolution has been bumped to 720p HD as well. Additionally, the processor used here is a 1.4GHz Exynos 3 Quad 3470 and not the Snapdragon 400 as previously reported.
The phone is also water-resistant like its larger sibling and it features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front. It has Android 4.4 KitKat preloaded along with the TouchWiz UI and its accompanying software enhancements. The fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor are also onboard.
Below are the key Samsung Galaxy S5 mini specs:
– Android 4.4 KitKat

– 4.5-inch HD AMOLED display
– 1.5GB RAM, 16GB storage, 64GB expandable

The Samsung Galaxy S5 mini has already gone on sale in Russia and it should be officially unveiled in India in the coming days. Where price is concerned, we expect it to retail somewhere around Rs 34K.
