The latest member of the Galaxy family, the dual SIM Samsung Galaxy S Duos, has been designed for those who wish to keep their personal and professional lives separate. It appears to be as stylish as its counterparts and helps itself to a generous serving of Ice Cream Sandwich.
Its ‘Dual SIM Always on’ feature ensures that users do not miss a call, even while talking on the other number. This device with rounded edges employs a 1GHz processor under the hood and draws power from a 1500mAh Lithium-ion battery. On its front panel, it wears a 4-inch WVGA TFT multi-touch display that can render clear visuals in a 480 x 800p resolution. Although the phone ships with 4GB onboard memory, its storage can be expanded using a microSD card of up to 32GB capacity.
A 5MP primary camera with features like built-in LED flash and video recording capability, sits on the rear panel. It also tags along a front-mounted VGA webcam for video calling purposes. The smartphone can record as well as play FWVGA videos and extend support to audio formats such as MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and more. Capable of running on HSDPA networks, it even comes pre-installed with the company’s ChatOn messaging service and other Samsung apps.
This GPS-certified Galaxy handset boasts of wireless communication features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi too. Its microUSB 2.0 port enables connections with multiple peripherals as well as computer systems and a 3.5mm headphone jack ensures compatibility with various audio devices. Needless to say, the smartphone is also loaded with Google Mobile services.
