The price of the Dell XPS One 27 has been made official and it can now be pre-ordered via the company’s online store. The all-in-one PC made an appearance at the IFA a few months prior to this and can boast of Windows 8 touch capability.
With a 27-inch wide quad HD display, the device might not seem that suited to touch-based applications and use. But its adjustable stand makes sure it tilts all the way to 60 degrees, turning it into an easier option in order to use the touchscreen. The company says it has 4 times the pixel resolution of a 720p screen.
Like the XPS 12, the AIO comes preloaded with 64-bit Windows 8 and a third generation Intel Core i5 processor. Power comes from its 6GB dual channel DDR3 memory and for storage purposes users get the benefit of a 1TB 7200rpm SATA hard drive. Enhancing video experiences is an Intel HD integrated graphics solution.
Now along with the XPS One 27, Dell has also chosen to refresh its Inspiron One 23 offering with a touchscreen option. The company has even announced pricing for this model and has attached a release date to the One 23. Among other things, it will feature a 500GB SATA HDD, 4GB of dual channel DDR3 RAM and Intel integrated graphics in addition to 64-bit Windows 8.
The Dell XPS One 27 sports a starting tag of $1,600. A release date of November 1 is expected to be on the cards. The cost for the second all-in-one PC, the Inspiron One 23, starts at $780 and it is expected to begin shipping in a little over 10 days time, on October 25.
