Slim notebooks seem to have found their way into India with ease and the Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook is the latest addition to this wide spread. Just as its name suggests, the laptop in question encompasses a 13-inch WLED HD display which is apparently capable of producing a brightness of 300 nits for the added visual experience.
To fit within this sort of category, the Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook appears to be built with a slim profile that measures 18mm thick at its rear-end and 6mm on the front. Dressed with an aluminum casing, the company has employed the second generation of Intel CPUs which comprises of Core i5 2467M and Core i7 2637M options. Furthermore, the Intel HD 3000 takes on graphics processing tasks, whilst users can choose between 128GB or 256GB of SSD storage.
“The XPS 13 is a perfect mobility device packing powerful technology into a small, portable package and delivering enterprise-friendly protection and security. With XPS 13 users don’t have to make a choice between beauty and practicality,” expressed Mahesh Bhalla, Executive Director & General Manager, Consumer and SMB, Dell India. “XPS 13 offers enterprise ready features for professionals enabling them power to connect, collaborate and innovate with unique features and services – like Dell ProSupport services and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) – that satisfy the needs of IT departments.”
To go the extra mile, the specifications sheet uncovers various other components and features such as a so-called ‘near-frameless’ display, presumable something like the one we’ve seen on the Dell XPS 14z, Corning Gorilla Glass for better durability and Intel technologies like Rapid Start as well as Smart Connect for added performance. Powering up all aforementioned offerings is a 6-cell 47WHr battery which is said to deliver approximately 8 hours and 53 minutes of activity life.
The Dell XPS 13 price starts at Rs. 79,900 and it is available for purchase through the Dell India website or from Dell Exclusive stores and major retail outlets across the country.
