Dell’s Venue 11 Pro Windows 8.1 tablet is now on sale in the US

As promised, Dell has launched the Venue 11 Pro in the US as well as other select countries across the globe. The tablet is available for purchase through the official website. This addition in the revived Venue brand runs on Windows 8.1 and the company is also offering other slates such as the 8 Pro as well as Venue 7 and 8 which run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Dell Venue 11 Pro is based on the latest technology from Intel. The base model features a quad core Atom Z3770 processor from the Bay Trail lineup, clocked at 2.4GHz, Gen7 graphics, 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 64GB of storage. Other options include Core i3 and i5 CPUs, high memory of up to 128GB and a maximum of 8GB RAM.

Visuals are delivered through a 10.8-inch IPS display with FHD resolution and 10-point touch input. On the bright side, Microsoft is offering a free copy of Office Home and Student 2013 as well as a 30-day trial of McAfee LiveSafe. The Dell Venue 11 Pro also packs a 2MP HD webcam on the front and an 8MP camera on the rear. There’s no cellular broadband support integrated, but you do get Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0.

While the battery capacity hasn’t been specified, the company notes that it is swappable, unlike in the 8-inch sibling. There are various accessories made available also. They include 2 keyboard cases, a dock where you can connect an external screen as well as other peripherals, and the Active Stylus digitizer for precision writing.

The Dell Venue 11 Pro base model is priced at $499.99, while the Core i3 and i5 models with a 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM are tagged at $799.99 and $849.99, respectively.
