The craze of selfie phones refuses to die, and the HTC Desire Eye is one reason for it. The handset that was unveiled back in October this year boasts of top-of-the-line specs that are highlighted by a 13MP front-facing camera supported by a host of software features from the company’s Eye Experience suite.
This phone was supposed to land in the country in November exclusively through Amazon. But things certainly haven’t gone as per plan, and it seems the company has decided to release the HTC Desire Eye through usual retail channels now, even as a store from Mumbai named Mahesh Telecom (Twitter) is currently selling it at Rs 35990.
This offering features a 5.2-inch 1080p full HD panel on its front surface, and is run by a 2.3GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor. While Android 4.4 KitKat is its base OS, it has as usual been coated with HTC’s Sense user interface. While 2GB of RAM is present onboard, 16GB worth of storage space has also been granted to it.
The Desire Eye features a 13MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera, with both of them being accompanied by dual LED flashes on each side. Keeping the device going in between charges is a 2400mAh battery.
A neat look at the specs of the HTC Desire Eye:
– Display: 5.2 inches, 1080p full HD

The HTC Desire Eye is yet to be released officially in India, but the fact that it has already arrived in retail stores tells us that it won’t take much time for that to happen.
