The Samsung Galaxy Tab S has been leaking like crazy, and added to the long string of revelations is yet another lively bunch of information about this slab. Freshly leaked images have revealed quite a few important details and features related to this reviver of Super AMOLED display-equipped tablets from the company.
The fancy 2K panel on this product will indeed prove to be quite beneficial to it when it comes to keeping its thinness down. On its sides, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S is apparently measuring just 6.6mm (even less than the iPad Air). While this is even evident from one of the leaked images, the video we’ve embedded below – that of a teaser issued by Samsung – also shows its extreme thinness.
And while this measurement applies to both the 8.4-inch as well as 10.5-versions of the tablet, SamMobile tells us that the former will weigh in at 287gms while the latter will tip the scales at 465gms. As can be seen in the image above, the Tab S will ship with a unique ability to pair up your smartphones with it in order to take calls presumably via Bluetooth headsets or wired headphones.
This beast of a slate will take its design cues from the S5 flagship, which is evident through its perforated back panel and its fingerprint scanner-equipped home button more than anything else. It will kick in the Android 4.4 KitKat OS and apparently run on an octa core chipset.
Here are the leaked specs of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S:
Word out is that while the Samsung Galaxy Tab S will be made available for pre-order on June 13, it will start shipping on June 27. This slab will be unveiled on the twelfth of this month.
